Land Acknowledgement

KO Yoga acknowledges that our current programs and services are delivered on the traditional territories and treaty lands of the Haudenosaunee, Anishnaabeg, Mississauga of the Credit, Wendat, and Neutral nations. We honour and deeply respect their historic and ongoing connection to this land.

We recognize that the history and presence of Indigenous peoples here is rich, dynamic, and cannot be encapsulated in a few words. We are committed to learning, understanding, and sharing the truths of the past and present, and we invite others to join us in this vital work.

We are dedicated to fostering relationships based on respect and equality. We particularly encourage our non-Indigenous staff, volunteers, sponsors, participants, and partners to reflect on their roles and responsibilities as recent arrivals on these territories, and to engage thoughtfully in the ongoing process of reconciliation.
